Sunday InterSessions Teams Up With Local Brands

The city’s new kid on the block, Sunday InterSessions, has teamed up with different local brands in a strategic move to generate new audiences, reports Ace Moloi.

Sunday InterSessions is described as a perfect musical experience that will ease you into the new week and month through acoustic sessions that alternate between contemporary Afro-Soul, Afro-Tech, Urban Gospel sounds and Spoken Word.

The first edition of the show is set to take place on the 29th of May at Swiss Productions Studios, Showgrounds. It will be headlined by Afro-Soul sensation, S’nazo. Wrapping up the night in dance music is trending Afro-Tech group, Afro-Defenders. The group is made up of versatile instrumentalist, Kay Swiss, singer-cum-broadcaster, Seraga, and dynamic deejay, Methodical.

The show’s confirmed strategic partners include MySurfer, which is a student housing Wi-Fi provider, BuyBloem.com, an online marketplace for local buyers and sellers, as well as The Radioactive Blog.

The Radioactive Blog is a vibrant multi-media platform that produces The Radioactive Poetry Café every first Monday of the month. It’s curated by internationally known poet, author and organiser, Thuthukani Ndlovu. Both MySurfer and The Radioactive Blog are sponsoring giveaway tickets on social media as a loyalty reward for their customers.

Meanwhile, BuyBloem.com has purchased group tickets for its employees to not only enjoy the music, but also interact with the people behind the city’s culture. “It is important that as local entrepreneurs we tap into the unifying power of music to understand our customers better, so that we can constantly improve our product offering in line with evolving market trends and culture,” BuyBloem.com’s Lebohang Matlabe told Art State, confirming that the business will leverage the Sunday InterSessions audience to launch publicly.
